Table built from the caselet
| Category | Students |
|---|---|
| Only Mathematics | 20 |
| Only Science | 15 |
| Both | 10 |
| Neither | 5 |
| Total | 50 |
Solution
- Only Mathematics = 30 - 10 = 20.
- Only Science = 25 - 10 = 15.
- Students in at least one subject = 20 + 15 + 10 = 45.
- Neither = 50 - 45 = 5.
- 20 students study only Mathematics and 5 study neither.
