Table built from the caselet
| Group | People |
|---|---|
| Adults | 3000 |
| Boys | 800 |
| Girls | 1200 |
| Total | 5000 |
Solution
- Adults = 60% of 5,000 = 3,000.
- Children = 5,000 - 3,000 = 2,000.
- Boys = 40% of 2,000 = 800, so girls = 2,000 - 800 = 1,200.
- There are 1,200 girl children.
