Last Updated On: Fri Aug 28 2026Question
A cylinder has a radius of 7 cm and a height of 10 cm. Find its volume and curved surface area. (Use pi = 22/7.)
Solution
- Volume = pi x r^2 x h = (22/7) x 7 x 7 x 10 = 22 x 7 x 10 = 1,540 cm^3.
- Curved surface area = 2 x pi x r x h = 2 x (22/7) x 7 x 10 = 440 cm^2.
- The volume is 1,540 cm^3 and the curved surface area is 440 cm^2.
