Example 2: Angles of a triangle
Last Updated On: Fri Aug 28 2026Question
The angles of a triangle are in the ratio 2 : 3 : 4. Find each angle.
Solution
- The sum of the ratio parts is 2 + 3 + 4 = 9.
- The angles of a triangle add up to 180 degrees, so one part is 180 / 9 = 20 degrees.
- The angles are 2 x 20 = 40, 3 x 20 = 60, and 4 x 20 = 80 degrees.
- Check: 40 + 60 + 80 = 180.
