Example 1: Parallel lines and a transversal
Last Updated On: Fri Aug 28 2026Question
Two parallel lines are cut by a transversal. One interior angle is 65 degrees. Find the other interior angle on the same side of the transversal.
Solution
- Interior angles on the same side of a transversal are co-interior angles.
- When the lines are parallel, co-interior angles add up to 180 degrees.
- The other angle = 180 - 65 = 115 degrees.
