Last Updated On: Tue Aug 25 2026

Question

In a 200 m race, A runs at 8 m/s and B runs at 6.4 m/s. By how many metres does A win?

Solution

  1. Time taken by A = 200/8 = 25 seconds.
  2. In 25 seconds, B covers 6.4 x 25 = 160 m.
  3. A's lead = 200 - 160 = 40 m.
  4. Therefore, A wins by 40 metres.
